GP Pathways is the collective effort of the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, Illinois Central College, our regional K-12 public education districts, post-secondary partners and regional workforce development partners aimed toward expanding access to Early College Credit and career-development opportunities for local high school students to ensure Greater Peoria has a ready, steady supply of talent to our most critical industries.

This effort originally began with funding and technical support from the American Federation of Teacher’s Innovation Fund focused explicitly on Peoria Public Schools. After establishing critical partnerships and refining strategies, we are now beginning to scale this work regionally, focused on establishing a more coherent, shared framework to help improve student outcomes and narrow our workforce gaps.
